ADS, Inc. is looking for exceptionally talented Accounts Payable Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Comparing invoices to POs and shipping/receiving documents to verify accuracy prior to data entry

  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with assigned vendors

  • Overhead and freight invoice processing

  • Expense report audits and processing

  • Vendor reconciliation and problem resolution

  • Proper classification and processing of 1099 vendor invoices and payments

  • Compliance with governmental reporting requirements

  • Check runs and processing

  • Miscellaneous special projects as necessary

  • Reports directly to the AP Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of business office experience in at least two of the following:

o Inventory A/P

o Matching receiving documentation

o General ledger coding

o Check processing

o Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business-related major may be substituted for experience

  • 2 years' experience with Microsoft Office

o Advanced Excel user

  • Attention to detail able to handle invoices with complete accuracy

  • Able to handle communication with vendors, as well as internal departments with an accommodating attitude

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Highly developed organizational skills

  • Calm demeanor able to work under tight deadlines

  • Sense of pride for a job well done

Please note: all individuals accepting a position in Finance/Accounting are expected to make a 1 year commitment and will not be allowed to apply for internal transfer without approval from the CFO.

Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks * Ensure locations are provided with the support needed to operate efficiently * Responsible for daily monitoring of bank deposits, schedules, payroll and productivity * Supply ordering, hiring approvals, and verification of adherence to process by offices * Prepare reports related to operational and financial performance * Act as a resource for effective store management * Inputs information quickly and accurately from a variety of sources into a computer database * Reviewing company store new hire entries * Creating spreadsheets, filing, and faxing * Other duties as assigned Position Qualifications * Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytic skills * Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and within a team * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal applications * Ability to sort through large amounts of data to identify discrepancies * Able to work across multiple departments to develop and/or refine procedures, and to discipline store employees found in violation * General familiarity with Liberty Tax Service practices Physical Demands and Work Environment * Position requires working at a desk at the corporate office for periods of time up to eight hours. * Travel up to 25% Employee Acknowledgement This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts or working conditions.
