Accounts Payable Manager

The FIJI Water Finance Department is currently seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to lead all aspects of the purchase-to-pay process based in our Tucson office. This position reports to the AVP Accounting and Global Controller and requires working with all departments and the accounting teams. This person will be a highly motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong Excel skills, previous supervisory experience in a respected finance organization and ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

• Manage accounts payable and T&E activities to ensure accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices and expense reports

• Manage Treasury functions for international bank balances, international vendor payments and intercompany loan payments

• Review the weekly Concur extract for expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation. Upload to GL and post necessary FX journal entries

• Review monthly AP GL account reconciliations

• Review monthly AP intercompany payable reconciliations, prepare and post accruals

• Prepare and post the monthly T&E accruals

• Review and approve weekly domestic vendor payment batches

• Review supplier setups for tax reporting compliance and annual 1099 filings

• Develop, implement and maintain AP and T&E systems, procedures and policies

• Provide team with training and supervision needed to enhance performance, development, and work product

• Maintain accurate records and control reports for all disbursements

• Involved in day-to-day operations as needed to meet high demand needs of business

• Resolves discrepancies with vendors and reconciles accounts as needed

• Proactively identifying areas in need of improvement and taking action to implement process improvements to increase overall department capacity

• Prepares ad hoc reports for management as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and accounts payable experience, with at least 3 years of management/leadership experience

• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles

• Solid understanding of AP and T&E processes

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

• Experience with 1099 filings

• Oracle and Concur software experience a plus

• Experience leading a system implementation a plus

• Absolute highest standards of professionalism, fiduciary responsibility, ethics, and discretion

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment

• Ability to interpret, organize and communicate complex information to senior management effectively

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on commitments.

• Excellent organizational, analytical and Excel skills
