Accounts Payable Manager

Accounts Payable Manager will provide day-to-day support to the accounting team with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. The successful Accounts Payable Manager thinks critically and logically; effectively manages competing priorities; possess strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; communicates well both verbally and in writing; and is flexible and highly dependable. This position directs and oversees the daily management of the accounts payable department and processes associated with the payment of invoices, ensuring the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to vendor payment, processing of purchase orders, receiving, invoices and payment of invoices. This role will work under the direction and oversight of the Controller and Vice President of Finance.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage Accounts Payable staff both remotely and in-house
Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
Manage balance sheet schedules
Manage and participate in the day-to-day Accounts Payable processes including reviewing invoices for proper coding and approval
Collect & Manage Source Documents pertaining to Accounts Payable
Correspond with vendors
Manage subcontractors & 1099 year-end creation
Prepare vendor payments for approval
Assist in audits by providing records and documentation related to Accounts Payable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of combined experience in Accounts Payable
Prior managerial experience
Understanding of GAAP and experience with accrual- basis accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and with Preferred experience with SAGE
Ability to gather and analyze data
