Accounts Payable Inventory Manager

The purpose of this position is to maintain proper accounting procedures and controls over the payment of expenses and inventory. Ensure the safe guarding of cash assets through monitoring and enforcement of payment distribution policies; develop and monitor key performance indicators to ensure the department is performing in line with industry best practices.

  • Monitor controls in place to ensure safeguarding of assets

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators ensuring processes are working correctly

  • Monitor staff performance and identify areas for coaching opportunities, including managing of employee morale, issues, performance appraisals and concerns

  • Conduct staff meetings at least monthly, manage time and labor

  • Evaluate the relationship of all systems and procedures used by the company when making decisions related to change or process improvement

  • Maintain a continuous improvement environment, ability to lead and complete projects

  • Maintain a controlled process environment, ensure timely completion of tasks, identify and mitigate risk in processes

  • Review monthly reconciliations. Maintain completion schedule and files for all reconciliations completed by the Accounts Payable Staff

  • Review journal entries prior to month end close each month

  • Ensure compliance with SOX by monitoring and reporting on key controls

  • Ensure professional, accurate and timely resolution of all issues from internal and external guests, including identification of issues needing to be escalated to the Director of Accounting

  • Maintain inventory systems and processes, ensuring accurate and auditable balances are held on the balance sheet

  • Other Duties as assigned


  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 5 years accounting or accounts payable experience

  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a high volume, fast paced environment preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; proficient with a keyboard and 10 key; advanced excel skills

  • Strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills both written and oral; must be able to handle a fast paced, high stress environment

  • Peoplesoft, Coupa and Onbase experience preferred

Danone North America is looking for a Vendor Managed Inventory Analyst in Broomfield. The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Analyst is responsible for modeling demand, planning replenishment, and managing inventories with a customer-focus for key customers in our integrated and extended supply chain, with emphasis on managing baseline forecasts on all items, promotional volume and phasing on key promotions. These activities require frequent communication with sales, demand planning, collaboration and the customer. The successful execution of the role has a direct effect on Danone North America's sales volume/profitability as well as the customer's sales volume/profitability. They are responsible for driving productivity initiatives and delivering cost and service improvements in partnership with Supply Chain and Field Sales. Minimal travel required. Vendor Managed Inventory: * Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer's SKU portfolio, seasonality, promotional schedule, warehouse/store sales characteristics and document as part of customer profile. * Utilize Datalliance process and tools to generate higher SKU productivity and optimal inventory. * Analyze 852 PA data to review and adjust/create forecasts based on historical data and/or comparative SKUs to generate accurate orders within short lead time. * Apply analytical techniques and leverage supply chain modeling technology to develop tactical demand and replenishment plan for the customer. * Analyze key trends in order history in the context of the customer's supply chain processes to proactively identify and propose improvement. * Prepare reports to be shared with both the customer and internal departments as part of daily/weekly/monthly communication. * Confirm all order written are within the sales policies of each customer. (i.e. Bracket Pricing, Truck Load Utilization, Economic Order Quantity) * Deliver effective communication by serving as the centralized point of contact between customer, operations, production, sales, etc. * Maintain positive relations and manage quality of service by resolving or communicating issues such as; product shortages, order delays, incorrect shipments and order/product refusals. Productivity & Process Improvement: * Utilizing Datalliance and well as Supply Chain processes to identify opportunities to innovate, improve service and/or reduce cost. * Analyzes opportunities, develops recommendations and implements process improvements that deliver results. * Drives cross functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Customer and Field Sales to achieve supply chain efficiencies. * Develops and maintains process and procedure documentation. * Develops and maintains training content; plans and provides training to new hires. * Maintains master data supporting the customer order to deliver processes.
