As our Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will oversee paying UTA's bills, reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices with precision and efficiency. You'll collaborate across teams and be directly involved in critical processes like month-end closings and audits, contributing to UTA's ability to provide critical services across the Wasatch Front.

As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will:

  • Perform all duties and functions to support payment of invoices.

  • Verify and complete receivable and payable transactions in accordance with UTA policy, vendor, interlocal, and/or other agreement requirements.

  • Act as an integral player in the Accounting department.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement, month-end closing, and annual audit processes.

  • Work closely with both external and internal customers as needed.

This position is a hybrid-remote position in Utah. Must be able to come into the UTA FrontLines Headquarters in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

During training, you will be required to work 5 days a week from the office. After training, your schedule can shift to 4 10-hour shifts a week, with at least 2 of those days in the office.

This job requires a credit check.

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Two years related work experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Accounts Payable, Optical Character Recognition Software experience preferred

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in accounting preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles

  • General office procedures

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Manage time to effectively meet deadlines

  • General math skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

ABILITIES

  • Actively participate in and apply continuous improvement

  • Research and solve problems independently

  • Operate office and computer equipment

  • Accurately file documents and maintain both manual and electronic files

  • This job requires regular and predictable attendance.

As a full-time Administrative Employee, your Total Rewards Benefits Package will include:

Pay Rate: $19.712 per hour or more depending on experience.
