Accounts Payable Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance, to provide a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and financial operations support and assistance in ensuring compliance of the department with legal, administrative and District policy requirements.

Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of the school districts accounts payable transactions. Handling invoices, payments and financial records for goods and services received by the school district.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate with college level coursework in business, word processing, and office procedures, Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Accounts Payable experience is required.

  • Bookkeeping and accounting experience required.

  • Excellent communication skills are a must.

  • Knowledge of School ERP PRO accounting program preferred but not required.

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

  • Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Internet, Outlook, electronic mail and Google for Education).

  • Ability to problem solve job-related issues.

  • Ability to process paperwork accurately according to standardized procedures.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.

  • Organizational and time management skills.

  • Knowledge of office management procedures.

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations, District policies and procedures, principles, guidelines, and best practices related to business office.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 40 hours per week, 12 months
