POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Accounts Payable Coordinator
Award Services is an integral position within the ITA Group Accounts Payable and Award Services accounting teams. Responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process for the Award Services division, the Accounts Payable Coordinator
Award Services monitors receipt of bills, oversees the validation against purchase orders, resolves discrepancies, and initiates payment to suppliers with the highest quality and service level. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate across internal and external teams on a regular basis including the Award Services' operations and buying teams, Corporate Accounting department, and third-party vendor/supplier partners.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum two years of progressively successful accounts payable experience.
Solid business acumen with a positive, professional attitude, able to build strong relationships and earn the respect of colleagues.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in an effective and organized manner.
Ability to help lead the company toward more automated procure to pay processes to improve productivity.
Ability to adapt to the changing needs of technology, the Corporate Accounting department and the Company.
Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft based products including Excel.
Familiarity with importing electronic files and initiating electronic payments.
Must be highly organized and have exceptional time management skills.
Ability to think and act in a proactive manner to independently meet established deadlines and goals and solve problems.
Ability to display a sense of urgency, ownership, initiative and accountability.
Ability to generate enthusiasm and dedication to support team members to achieve business objectives.
Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers' needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
