Established company located in the Blue Bell area seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to become an integral part of it?s finance team. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for keeping the integrity of the company?s accounts payable system while performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
? Maintain companies accounts payable system ? Implementation of company?s credit strategies ? General Ledger reconciliation ? Acquiring proper approvals for invoices ? Data entry of invoices into company?s ERP System ? Reconcile vendor statements ? Generate checks/drafts/wires for vendor payments ? Communicate with customers on outstanding invoices ? Assist in month end close process ? Prepares customer credit file for presentation to Controller

Skills:

Requirements

  • Less than one year of experience preferred

  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

We are looking for a talented Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our industry leading Accounting/Finance team at our state-of-the-art corporate headquarters located in Blue Bell, PA. The Accounts Payable Coordinator performs varied and more complex clerical accounting activities in the areas of A/P and other accounting functions. May be involved in project work such as report writing and analysis, research, and client interaction. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Code, enter and process accounts payable invoices from vendors and subcontractors. Process includes routing posted invoices for approval, maintaining open A/P files, preparing check runs for approved invoices, cutting checks as directed, routing checks for approval and signature and coordinating the delivery to vendors. Classifies and codes transactions to appropriate accounts. * Interacting and coordinating the entire accounts payable process with the Chief Financial Officer, Operation Executives, Project Managers, Subcontractors/vendors, other members of the Accounting group and others throughout the company from time to time. * Handle vendor, subcontractor inquiries related to status of invoices (A/P). * Reconcile general ledger in accordance with predetermined standards on a monthly basis, create final reports and forward to key management staff. Take the necessary steps to adjust any discrepancies. * Reconcile the monthly American Express Bill with the travel reports to assure accurate reporting of travel costs. Coordinate with other Amex Account cardholders to allocate costs correctly. * Creates reports as requested and provides statistical and financial analysis on the data so key staff can make strategic conclusions. * Checks and verifies accuracy of routine calculations and/or reports. Matches checks to invoices. Conducts routine audits of work. * Performs various clerical duties in the department such as mail sorting, filing, faxing and photocopying. * Performs all job duties utilizing a strong sense of fiscal responsibility. * Special projects as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements * A minimum of 1 years accounting experience with proficiency in spreadsheets and formulas. * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred. * Ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines. Highly reliable with strong organization skills to manage a large amount of documents and information. * A sense of urgency with an ability to multitask and ability to meet multiple deadlines. * Good attention to detail. * Good interpersonal skills and ability to efficiently interact with both internal and external contacts. * Ability to work effectively on a team. * Excellent customer service skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office. * Proficiency with Timberline Accounting is preferred.
