Karya Property Management is looking for a skilled accounts payable clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Responding to vendor and property staff inquiries
  • Prepare account analysis reports
  • Pay vendors
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issues
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year proven working experience as accounts payable clerk (or accounts receivable clerk)
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Preferred experience with Realpage, Quickbooks, Appfolio, Positivepay, and/or Adobe
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Experience in the Property Management industry is strongly preferred, but not a requirement.

Communicates with Victory team members and vendors to resolve disputes or concerns related to accounts payables. Tracks and resolves returned product issues for customers. * Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. * Work with different types of payment solutions and confidential information. * Communicate with branch AP team, corporate staff, and sales force regarding payable concerns and issues. * Respond to all vendor inquiries, research, and follow-up on open issues in a timely manner. * Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, or data bases accurately and timely. * Assist in month end closing - understand accruals based accounting. * Prepare analysis of accounts as scheduled or requested. * Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. * Understand similar duties, such as accounts receivables and customer service. * Cross train in other functional areas of facility. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements * College coursework or degree in related field is preferred * Two (2) or more years related accounting experience is preferred * Excellent speed and accuracy in data entry skills * Advanced Excel Skills REQUIRED: capable of creating pivot tables and spreadsheets * Ability to create and edit documents in MS Office Word * Ability to identify issues and communicate with team or management effectively * Fluency in English required, verbal and written * Quick learner and be able to multi-task Victory Packaging Houston TX
