Geniumz Inc., is looking for a Accounts Payable Clerk for a large professional services client located in Joliet, IL.

Main responsibilities are:

  • Apply working knowledge of accounts payable terms and procedures.

  • VIM invoice processing, incoming phone calls, validation, scanning, and monitor AP Inbox.

  • Support internal control requirements and assist with self-audit procedure review.

  • Provide support with invoice block exceptions.

  • Accountable for issues tracking and reporting processes to ensure timely resolution.

  • Work with Accounts Payable Senior Team Lead to validate Standard Operating Procedures and updates as needed.

Job qualifications are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years relevant experience in accounts payable or accounting.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to analyze business conditions and understanding of business processes of accounts payable and purchasing.

  • Proficient PC skills using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP software.

What You Will Do: * Receives and unpacks incoming orders. Pack, unpack, count, weigh and measure materials, supplies and equipment upon receipt. * Checks orders against items listed on CMMS requisitions, SAP invoices or other order forms. Notes breakage and discrepancies in quantity or quality. * Picks up, stores and delivers supplies and/or materials from shelves to fill requisitions, lifting and carrying supplies when necessary. * Provides information and recommendations on stock items and billing to other departments. Fills orders or issues supplies upon proper authorization. * Prepare requisitions for stock replacement and expedite any outstanding purchase orders. Inventories stock on hand and requests supplies as needed. * Communicates with vendors, both verbally and in writing, on matters relating to parts, supplies, and the status of their purchase orders with limited or no supervision. * Packages materials for shipping to vendors for returns or repair. * Maintains records including ticket pull and prepares necessary reports. * Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. * Analyze and recommend modifications of stock levels on the basis of previous consumption * Maintain inventory of oil, grease and other industrial lubricants * Track OEM Warranty items on new parts and equipments * Assist other staff members in all areas concerning purchasing, receiving, distribution and shipping. Assembles, adjusts and/or repairs articles carried in stock. * Take necessary precautions to protect stock from deterioration or spoilage. * Keep storage facilities, materials and supplies in a neat, clean and orderly fashion, * Maintain good housekeeping. 5S Leader. * Make recommendations and suggestions on problems relating to space, delivery, issue and spare parts stock control. * Performs routine custodial or maintenance duties * Develop methods and procedures for handling, sorting, storing and rotating stock. * Prepare lists of surplus and obsolete materials once a period. Recommends inventory adjustments. Removes obsolete stock from inventory. * Storeroom SME: Train and provide coaching for new and current employees on doing the cycle count, retrieving part information and history, receiving, requisitioning, using CMMS and SAP systems. Reviews storeroom procedures and other parts cage functions. * Comply with safety, submit BOS and quality assurance expectations and standards. * Assist in preparation of data for departmental reports, audits, inventory or studies. * Participate in departmental meeting, AM Teams, PM Pillar and network group... * Perform any other duties pertaining to purchasing, shipping or receiving deemed necessary by the Reliability Manager. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Strong attention to detail * Excellent attendance record * Organizational skills * Intermediate computer skills * Must be able to work independently * Must be a self starter * 1 – 3 years of Storeroom experience * 1-3 years of CMMS experience Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Ecolab Inc.
