As an Accounts Payable Representative, you will evaluate freight transportation carrier payables for accuracy and troubleshoot potential problems with carrier(s) payments. You will do so by working directly with C.H. Robinson's North American offices and your assigned freight carriers assisting them in resolving their billing questions while simultaneously educating on best practices to ensure timely payment release. Your ability to communicate well, provide exceptional customer service via email and phone while working under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and ability to make decisive decisions is key to your success.
Work on new and existing carrier issues
Meet invoicing requirements for assigned carriers
Be in constant contact with assigned carriers AR departments
Address financial conflicts within the system to allow payments to be released
Problem solvers must work well under pressure and must meet deadlines within a specified time frame and providing regular communication on status of account
Must provide quality customer service by researching issues, answering questions or addressing concerns
Ensure prompt payment(s) are made to our carriers
Additional duties for this position include, but are not limited to, assisting the team with invoice entry, researching responsible party for billing, processing refunds
Attend 1-on-1 meetings and monthly departmental meetings
Effective verbal and written communication skills
