Accountemps is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available for a short term temporary vacancy on a quickly expanding team at a thriving company. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. Based out of the High Point, North Carolina area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short term temporary opening. Your responsibilities

  • Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

  • Provide support during internal and external audits

  • Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

  • Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

  • Provide support to internal business partners

  • Carry out additional projects as required

  • Fullfill full-cycle A/P

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
