Accountemps is hiring for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist for a company located in Walnut Creek, CA. The right employee will be responsible for a wide range of general staff accounting tasks but will be primarily What the role looks like: ? Monday through Friday with flexible start times ? Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. ? High volume data entry. ? Process and manage all the utilities accounts. ? Respond to all vendor inquiries. ? Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies. ? Assist in month end closing. ? Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. ? Maintain compliance with company policies, practices and procedures. ? Participate in proactive efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. ? Work effectively and communicate clearly with other employees. ? 1-2 years full cycle Accounts Payable experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. ? Vendor relations and sourcing experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Accounts payable experience desired
Expertise in PeopleSoft Financial Management
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
