Accountemps currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Rubber Manufacturing field. The Accounting Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to make an indispensable contribution to the success of International Construction Company. Based out of the South Haven, Michigan area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short term temporary opening. Career growth and quick advancement is available in this progressive department. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks. Major responsibilities

  • Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Help with internal and external audits as required

  • Provide customer service to internal business partners

  • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

  • Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

  • Manage full-cycle A/P

  • Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

  • Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • High attention to detail and possess excellent organizational and writing skills

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable

  • Deep understanding of SAP - Expertise in SAP - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
