Accounts Payable Clerk Accountemps is in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Service field. The Accounting Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part International Construction Company. Located in Troy, Michigan, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short term temporary-to-fulltime position. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk responsibilities will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. What you get to do every single day

  • Conduct full-cycle A/P

  • Execute additional tasks as needed

  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

  • Provide support during internal and external audits

  • Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

  • Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

  • Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

  • Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

  • Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

Requirements

  • Accounts payable experience desired

  • Microsoft Excel experience required

  • 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

The Role – Accounts Payable The Location – Troy, MI PURPOSE: Perform moderately complex clerical accounting duties involving calculations, reconciliations, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting processes.
