This position is responsible for, within a team environment, executing payment - related processes to Pella Corporation's business partners for all applicable manufacturing divisions, sales subsidiaries, and independent sales branches. These activities are to be completed in adherence to all policies and procedures while maintaining an emphasis on time, cost and quality of the services provided.

This is an in-person role reporting to the Pella Corporate office in Pella, IA. Monday

  • Friday 8am

  • 4:30pm. This position can move to a hybrid work schedule after several months on good standing.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; or Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsible for an assigned vendor base and processes vouchers accordingly. Is the first point of contact for those vendors, addressing questions and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Follows standard work procedures for processing invoices and maintains documentation to support payments.

Manages and prioritizes his/her own workload and assumes full ownership of duties assigned.

Maintain assigned vendor base and develop a working knowledge of other team member's vendors. As required, work with the team to cover invoice backlog and assigned projects.

Responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements in time, cost and quality not only in Finance, but also in joint processes involving other functional departments. Takes eliminates waste within the department, working with the team to create processes that are both efficient and compliant with policy, governmental regulations, and GAAP.

Questions and issues will require frequent communication and problem solving effort with vendors as well as internal departments. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
