What will you be doing?

This is an Accounts Payable Specialist position responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling statements and invoices received for payment.

Some of your day-to-day tasks:

• Scanning and filing all received invoices and statements

• Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system for approval and payment

• Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and the purchasing department

• Verify that invoices comply with financial policies and procedures

• Prepare vendor checks for distribution

• Maintain vendor files and update them as needed

• Reconcile vendor accounts by review of vendor statements

• Help maintain AP email accounts

• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, statements, and payments

• Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Contribute ideas for continued department improvement

• Other tasks as needed

What do you need to be able to do?

• High School Graduate or equivalent

• Six months to one-year related experience

• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles

• Proficiency of MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and Teams

• Knowledge of Power BI a plus

• Knowledge of Sage accounting software a plus

• Proficient in 10-key

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Good customer service and vendor negotiation skills

• Accuracy, responsibility, and close attention to detail

• Ability to research and problem solve

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
