We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Accounting team. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger account reconciliations, and branch and divisional expense reporting while working with the full cycle of the accounts payable process including invoice data capture, invoice coding with general ledger expense accounts, ensuring and obtaining appropriate invoice approval, matching invoices to purchase orders, and processing payments. Additionally, you will ensure accurate and timely updates to vendor records, work independently in a high-volume environment and effectively communicate within a high performing team setting.

To thrive in this role, you should have one to three years of similar or related accounts payable or bookkeeping experience. This position is one part administrative and one part problem solving. This might be the role for you if you enjoy work requiring attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and critical thinking.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.

  • Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.

  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
