Accounts Payable Assistant

Overview

The AP Assistant plays a key supporting role in facilitating all aspects of vendor relations including creating and maintaining exceptional relationships with both department purchasers and vendors to ensure smooth operations. This is a fast-paced position and requires a strong ability to multi-task. This position will help the accounting office staff with projects as time allows.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices and credits memos

• Creating purchase orders

• Reconciling statements

• Researching complex statements

• Issuing and mailing payments

• Completing vendor applications

• Receive and distribute AP mail (including email)

• Maintain a professional, organized working environment and attitude

• AR, Payroll or Cash Office help, as required

• Other duties as assigned by the AP Manager

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Exceptional time management and attention to detail

• Detail oriented with strong mathematical skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet expected deadlines

• Knowledge of BSR operations a plus, but not required

• Data entry experience is preferred
