Overview
The AP Assistant plays a key supporting role in facilitating all aspects of vendor relations including creating and maintaining exceptional relationships with both department purchasers and vendors to ensure smooth operations. This is a fast-paced position and requires a strong ability to multi-task. This position will help the accounting office staff with projects as time allows.
Responsibilities
Processing invoices and credits memos
Creating purchase orders
Reconciling statements
Researching complex statements
Issuing and mailing payments
Completing vendor applications
Receive and distribute AP mail (including email)
Maintain a professional, organized working environment and attitude
AR, Payroll or Cash Office help, as required
Other duties as assigned by the AP Manager
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional time management and attention to detail
Detail oriented with strong mathematical skills
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet expected deadlines
Knowledge of BSR operations a plus, but not required
Data entry experience is preferred
