Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to oversee and manage our AP department. The AP Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all invoices, payments, and related financial transactions. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise AP Team: Provide leadership and guidance to the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Invoice Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of all invoices, including verifying accuracy, obtaining approvals, and coding expenses to the appropriate accounts.

  • Payment Processing: Oversee the payment process, including scheduling payments, selecting payment methods, and ensuring compliance with payment terms.

  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including resolving payment discrepancies and negotiating favorable terms.

  • Month-End Close: Coordinate AP activities to ensure a smooth month-end close process, including reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the AP function, implementing best practices and automation solutions as needed.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, including tax requirements and internal controls.

  • Reporting: Generate and analyze AP reports to track key metrics and trends, providing insights to senior management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required

  • Proven experience (5 years) in accounts payable or related accounting roles, with 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
