Ameresco is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to process invoices for payment, providing detailed analyses, and supporting all internal and external customers and reporting requirements. We are looking for someone with Accounts Payable experience, who will apply their skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment, where the work is often fast-paced and challenging. This position is located in Framingham, MA.

Responsibilities

Responsible for timely, accurate, and complete preparation and processing of payments, invoices, forms, and periodic check runs, including handling transactions for multiple companies and subcontractors;

Provide assistance with processing of expense reports for reimbursable cash expenditures and preparation of year-end information package for financial statement and corporate tax return;

Reconcile vendor statements and Accounts Payable for annual year-end reports;

Assist with month-end procedures including account reconciliation as required;

Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve concerns;

Foster a positive and effective customer and team-oriented work environment that facilitates collaborative relationships, efficiencies, and continuous process improvements;

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma
3 + years of accounts payable experience

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED:

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and highly motivated

An associate's degree or progress towards a bachelor's degree

Working knowledge of Accounting and experience building financial models desirable

MS Office proficiency preferred

Excellent verbal, written, computer, communication and organizational skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables within fast paced, team project-oriented work environment.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Respond to inquiries accurately and in a timely manner for requests for information * Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues * Provides documentation for new vendor setup * Analyze monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements * Support the annual planning process (budget) and semi-annual forecast process in conjunction with FP&A manager * Educate and build relationships across the organization to help facilitate various planning exercises throughout the business cycle * Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions * Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents. * Manages the accounts payable inbox and ensures that questions are resolved in a timely and accurate manner * Ad hoc analysis and presentation support * Miscellaneous projects/tasks assigned by management BOSTON HEART COMPETENCIES (Select 5-7 key competencies for this role.)
