SUMMARY: The Accounts Management Representative will support the daily functions of the department, setting up new billable accounts and making changes to existing accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Data Management/ Operations, Finance, Customer Services, and Claims teams by entering or changing data in Hachette Book Group's account database.

  • Support the various Sales teams by implementing sales rep coding onto accounts, insuring timely and accurate sales commissions.

  • Provide professionally worded, timely, and accurate confirmation of executed work orders to Hachette customers, in-house, and affiliated sales personnel.

  • Support our in-house Electronic Orders team by preparing accounts to receive electronic data feeds.

  • Document, track, and resolve complex client inquiries and investigations via internal tracking systems while keeping management informed on progress.

  • Support internal business groups and client business groups with ad hoc queries and requests.

  • Eager to learn key systems and then provide training and coaching to supporting business groups.

  • Independently and proactively interacts with the internal/external clients regarding business needs and daily work flow.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • College degree preferred

  • Demonstrated understanding of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • 1-2 years of related work experience, internships included

  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy, while attending to multiple projects, are crucial in this position.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings, regardless of audience

  • Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals, while taking ownership of situations as needed

  • Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization; demonstrated customer service skills

  • An innate desire to achieve the best outcome for the business and customers for the entire transactional life of an account

  • An ability to understand and work to resolve a problem, bringing in other colleagues, as needed

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 <p>This position is responsible for the organization and execution of all Long Trail, Otter Creek, and Shed Brewery retail chain management activity, primarily in the New England market with some nationally based chain calls out market. This is a full-time position requiring the ideal candidate to live in the central New England area, and not Boston specifically, for ease of travel.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Direct and manage all brand management, authorization, and promotional activities for retail chain stores including Supermarket, C-Stores, Drug, Club, and Specialty accounts. </li> <li>Develop PMP / Post schedule for each chain on annualized basis </li> <li>Present new items twice per year to Chain Category Managers to obtain authorizations in store shelf sets and planograms. </li> <li>Work with Region Managers &amp; Sales Directors on execution of display and brand priority execution.</li> <li>Collaborate in regular planning with Marketing Director on Brand Calendar, innovation, and marketing programs.</li> <li>Lead quarterly chain sales meetings with internal team to track progress and identify priorities by chain and channel</li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Internal Working Relationships: (Nature and Purpose of Interaction)</strong></p><ul> <li>Director of Marketing: Brand development strategy and brand calendar planning</li> <li>Sales/Marketing Teams: Execution of chain sets, PMP, and display features</li> </ul><p><strong>External Working Relationships:</strong></p><ul> <li>Distributor Chain Team: Alignment of strategy for PMP, SKU authorizations, display and set execution</li> <li>Chain Category Manager: Develop regular planning meetings to secure ad features, PMP, new distribution based on performance, and new item visibility</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p><p>The successful candidate must be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in directing and leading multi format chain sales in the craft beer category. Specific understanding of category management and the ability to drive targeted goals for volume, distribution, feature, and display activity is essential. The position requires superior relationships and professionalism to represent our brands in all channels with retail and distributor partners. The candidate must also possess a track record of successful implementation of sales and brand introduction strategies across the Northeast. The position requires an individual who is highly motivated, organized, and driven to lead the chain department in a highly competitive environment.</p><p>In addition to a passion for craft beer and a fast paced sales environment, the candidate must have strong computer skills in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with syndicated data (IRI and VIP), space management, and category management is key.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Travel and Flexibility Requirement:</strong></p><p>This position requires extensive travel. The ideal candidate must be available nights and weekends and be available for a flexible schedule.<br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications and Education:</strong></p><p>B.A. Business/Marketing or equivalent experience.
