TreeHouse Foods, based in Oak Brook, IL, is a publicly-held manufacturer of packaged foods and beverages with approximately 30 manufacturing facilities across the United States, and Canada, that focuses primarily on private label products for both retail grocery and food away from home customers. We manufacture shelf stable, refrigerated, frozen and fresh products, including beverages and beverage enhancers (single serve beverages, coffees, teas, creamers, powdered beverages and smoothies); retail bakery (refrigerated and frozen dough, cookies and crackers); condiments (pickles) and healthy snacks (nuts, trail mix, bars, dried fruits and vegetables). We offer natural, organic and preservative free ingredients in many categories. Our strategy is to be the leading supplier of private label food and beverage products by providing the best balance of quality and cost to our customers.


The Finance Summer Internships will be based in Green Bay, WI offices.

In addition to hands-on experience in Accounting. The TreeHouse Foods Finance Summer Internship will afford the intern:

  • Formal orientation and on-boarding

  • Individualized development, including a formal mid-term and end-of-term evaluation

  • Regular interface with Finance leadership through weekly 'Lessons from Leaders' sessions

  • Exposure to one or more of our manufacturing and/or distribution operations

  • Intern group project

  • Networking opportunities

  • End of internship presentation to the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Leadership Team


Located in the Green Bay, WI offices, this position will apply accounting principles to assist in the completion of the Company's month-end closing process, preparation of financial reports, analysis of financial results, and support of process improvements. As necessary, this position will provide analytical support to the divisions. This role will also be directly involved in one or more special projects.


  • 2 - 3 years of progress towards a bachelor's degree in business with an Accounting, Finance, or closely related major.

  • Overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Demonstrated interest in accounting, finance, and operations through course work or previous internships.

  • Computer savvy, knowledge of ERP systems, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

VIEW JOBS 9/15/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-14T00:00 <p>Job Category:</p><p>Intern</p><p>Job Family:</p><p>Student Intern</p><p>Job Description:</p><p>In this summer internship, you will provide technical support to Research Scientists and to customers by preparing requested customer samples, assisting in running pilot and plant trials and conducting a variety of technical support activities including shelf life testing, sensory evaluations and testing, ingredient screening, test development and product functionality testing.</p><p>This internship assists with customer sample development, product applications, competitive evaluations, product improvement and product transfers.</p><p>This role helps support the team and leading projects involving the following: Customer sample development, plant trials and technical support activities.</p><p>Internship will start in May 2023 and is located at our corporate office in Green Bay, WI.</p><p>What you'll do:</p><ul><li><p>Follow the Production Development Process/SOP to develop and commercialize new products. Prepare cheese, yogurt and other product type samples as requested by customers through the project request process. Coordinate/assist with new product scale up pilot and plant trials including formulation, weighing, cooking, recording and reporting of results. Develop defined work plans, conduct experiments, and write reports. Apply basic quality tools and explore new project work.</p></li><li><p>Good communication skills, both written &amp; verbal are required.</p></li><li><p>Assist Home Office R&amp;D with exploratory project work and documentation of technical information</p></li><li><p>Serve as an effective R&amp;D team member. Accomplish projects and tasks through teamwork with R&amp;D scientists, operations, marketing, engineering, and customers.</p></li><li><p>Provide a wide range of technical assistance to Home Office R&amp;D, Scientists and Staff.
