JOB OVERVIEW - The Accounting Bureau is a component of the Administrative and Financial Services Division within the Department of Corrections. The Accounting Bureau performs all accounting, collection, and payroll functions. The Bureau also analyzes, and if needed, revises documents prepared by institutions. It may also originate such documents.

• This position performs accounting work in the development and maintenance of the Department's accounting systems. Major areas of concern are Personal Services, Inmate Accounts, Accounts Payable, and accounts receivable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years job-related college or vocational training in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• 3 to 4 years job-related work experience.
• Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
