  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of accounting documents submitted by assigned activities.

  • Determines that all transactions are properly processed and that total activity agrees with predetermined control tables.

  • Analyses and reviews reports and machine listing to assure they are in balance and in proper format and sort sequence, that accounting data is valid and that it adheres to prescribed regulatory manuals and procedures.

  • Classifies erroneous conditions referring complex errors/problems to the accountant

  • Takes corrective action to bring reports and listings into balance

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.

  • NSA Requirements:Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency facilities and networks. Incumbent may be subject to polygraph testing and must meet NSA personnel security requirements as outlined in NSA/CSS Policy.

  • Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment check(s) and security forms for NSA.

  • Appointment is subject to successful completion and ability to maintain a favorable Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) and/or polygraph examination to determine suitability for this position.

  • Appointment is subject to successful completion and favorable results of fingerprints, Installation Record Checks, and a Credit Check to determine suitability for this position

  • Test Designated Position: In accordance with NSA Policy and Executive Order 12564 this position is subject to random drug testing as a condition of employment.

  • Work experience performing accounting support duties as described above.


1.Six (6) months prior experience working with Accounting Software such as Peachtree/Sage, Microsoft Excel, or similar.

2.A minimum of six (6) months experience, which demonstrates proficiency in accounting clerical methods and techniques, knowledge of office practices, and procedures relating to the processing and recording of transactions and accounting information.

In this position, you will have the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Install, configure, integrate, test, commission, and maintain SCADA hardware and software on customer systems.</li> <li>Create and integrate SCADA databases and displays with field equipment on customer's systems.</li> <li>Assemble, wire/cable and stage hardware equipment.</li> <li>Create detailed test documentation and work instructions for system hardware set up and networking.</li> <li>Assist Project Engineer with technical execution of projects.</li> <li>Responsibilities are similar to many HVAC, PLC, building automation and industrial control systems disciplines.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve system and communication issues.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum</strong></p><ul> <li>Associates Degree in Building Automation Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Technology, or other technical focus from an accredited college or 6+ years working in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC or SCADA controls software systems (i.e. programming and installing a direct digital control, creating system graphics, etc.).</li> <li>Top Secret/SCI with polygraph.</li> <li>Strong technical background in automation and computers.</li> <li>Some knowledge of electric utilities, power systems, communications, control systems and/or networking.</li> <li>Ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.</li> <li>Excellent organization, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.</li> <li>Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.</li> <li>Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites for field work.</li> </ul><p><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul> <li>Strong technical background in automation and computers.
