Accounting Technician 2 located in Juneau!

This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 14.

What You Will Be Doing:

This Accounting Technician position works closely with the high-functioning team of the Administrative Services Division (ASD) Financial Unit, and other divisions within the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD), to ensure timely processing of the department's accounts payable documents. You will be evaluating confidential client benefit payments, and using Microsoft Excel to analyze data to process State Equipment Fleet, Corporate Travel Management, and State ID billings. This position works extensively in IRIS, the state's accounting system.

One year of entry technical level accounting or clerical bookkeeping experience.

Substitutions:

Certification as an Accounting Technician from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience.

Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month) if it includes at least 6 semester/8 quarter hours in Accounting.
