What you will be doing:

As an Accounting Technician 1, you will be responsible for managing all Medicaid recoveries received from various sources such as State contractors, Medicaid Providers, Medicaid Recipients, Other State Agencies, and Third-Party Insurance. Your duties will include reconciling daily deposits, performing deposits to the local bank, using Key Capture Deposit Online, and verifying deposit posting in Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and State Accounting System - Integrated Resource Information System (IRIS).

This position is conveniently located at 4601 Business Park Blvd., Bldg. K in midtown Anchorage.

It is close to restaurants, shopping, bike paths, and Cuddy Family Midtown Park. Free parking is provided. The workweek is typically Monday through Friday.

Substitutions:

Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.

Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month). At the time of the interview, please provide the following:

  • Three (3) professional references we may contact by phone, one (1) of whom must be your current or most recent supervisor, if not already provided in the application.

  • Current performance evaluation, if available.
