An Accountant Supervisor will apply principals of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Will report to Manager to manage accounting operations of responsible accounting area. Manages Junior and Staff level accountants in daily operations. Prepares financial reports; works on special projects as needed; creates advanced spreadsheets to support summary reports; resolves problems. Able to perform multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and manage many tasks in a short period of time.
Month end Close - Coordinates the close of all HOAs, Rentals, Retail Outlets, and RMI
Financial statement preparation and analysis for the above companies.
Balance sheet and P&L reconciliation for the above companies
Year-end audit responsibilities for the above companies.
Operational and HOA budget for the above companies
Other projects necessary to meet the objectives of Resorts Accounting Department.
Plan, schedule, prioritize and supervise work schedules for those within their work group to ensure that all daily, monthly and yearly goals are timely met. Will address problem situations within work group as needed to maintain a cohesive work environment.
Manages five Staff Accountants. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
