Responsible for overseeing the tactical accounting functions; accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. Works collaboratively with Finance leadership and across all business functions in support of business decisions and ensures appropriate financial controls are embedded in all finance processes and provides leadership to the Accounting functions.
Responsible for timely month-end closing of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. Reviews required month-end reports and reconciliations.
Provides support to the Finance Team to ensure complete and compliant financial accounts are prepared each month within the published timetable.
Assist with the preparation and review of the monthly financial statements.
Drives continual process improvement to increase efficiency and ensure successful implementation of those improvements. Assesses and develops new tools to improve accounting procedures and processes.
Audits workflow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with GAAP under established internal controls. Supports budgeting activities. Assists the Director of Finance with a variety of tasks and handles special projects a requested by management.
Supervises, supports, and provides leadership and direction to the tactical Accounting Team (A/R, A/P, & Payroll):

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 2-3 years of supervisory experience
High proficiency in MS Office, particularly with Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively motivate, lead and manage employees at a variety of levels.
Demonstrates good organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
Demonstrates the ability to align work with the strategic goals of the organization while understanding business implications of decisions.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to leverage perspectives and drive optimal results.
Demonstrates successful operation of a customer service environment
Strong data analysis skills; financial/business modeling experience a plus.
Experience creating effective and efficient customer service programs and associated metrics.
