As an Accounting Specialist Senior within PNC's Finance organization, you may be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Philadelphia, PA, Gaithersburg, MD, Atlanta, GA or Tampa, FL and will support the Finance Capital Reporting Team.

The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting with the accurate and timely reporting of all regulatory capital filings and the firm's capital ratios. The filings include but are not limited to specific capital schedules within the Call Report, FR Y-9C, 10Q/K, Basel Disclosures, FFIEC 101 and the Supplemental Leverage Ratio. You will also oversee all governance and compliance activities within the team as it relates to the Risk Assessment Unit (RAU) or Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and improve governance and controls related to the capital reporting process

  • Liaison with key stakeholders including Internal Audit, Enterprise Testing Services, Compliance Risk, Finance Governance and Oversight, and the Regulators to ensure timely and complete delivery of requests

  • Drive the implementation and documentation of new rules, regulations or requirements from the regulators or internal customers

  • Assist with the execution of the production of the Tier 1 and 2 Capital Numerator, Supplemental Leverage Ratio, Quarterly Earnings Release and other reporting

  • Active role in forecasting activities

  • Assist with the Risk Weighted Asset (RWA) process where needed

  • Various Ad-hoc Requests

Job Description

  • Provides accounting, reporting and analytical expertise in support of a business function or business unit.

  • Provides specialized accounting, financial reporting, accounting research and control oversight for the company.

  • Creates accounting memoranda and various specialized reports for internal and external use.

  • Completes month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, and subsidiary regulatory reporting, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.

  • Supports and assists accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.

  • Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and ability to implement business processes required to ensure compliance with its tenets.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
