This position provides responsible professional accounts payable, procurement and administrative services in a high-volume environment. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, includes scanning, coding, entering invoices, reviewing, researching, and reconciling payments. This position will work closely with finance and administrative staff, have excellent communication skills, efficient and effective time management and prioritization skills, adherence to deadlines, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and careful attention to detail.

We Require
Two years of accounts payable, accounting, bookkeeping or specialized administrative experience
High school diploma or GED
Must obtain Maricopa County Certified Agency Procurement Aid (CAPA certification within three months of hire
We Also Value
Bachelor's degree or higher education
Working in a high-volume accounts payable environmental with multiple functions and deadlines
Experience in Advantage financial system
Working with Onbase

Job Contributions
Performs accounts payable, accounting, and procurement services following general accounting principles and internal control procedures
Processes payments, purchase orders and various accounting transactions and audits the accuracy of figures, calculations, and required documentation and routes for approval
Analyzes financial information, researches problems, and reconciles transactions, creates and assembles spreadsheets, performs any combination of routine calculating, and compiling data to keep financial records complete
Documents processes and procedures and ensures internal control measures, meets deadlines and responds to audits
Work with vendors, responsible for processing payments to employees (for lost wages), attorneys, settlements and other payments in the claims, insurance, and workers' compensation arena
Regularly reviews detail transactions, posting and reconciling of accounts payable to the general ledger
Responsible for accounts receivable
Responsible for purchases on procurement card and monthly reconciliation
Prepares monthly reports and spreadsheets on invoices and payments, discounts, volume and any other data that might be beneficial
Examines placement of expenses and prepares journal vouchers when necessary
Assists in month end and fiscal year end as well as the quarterly reconciliation and other accounting tasks needed
Provides back up administrative support services
Performs other duties as assigned or required
Working Conditions
Indoor office environment with ability to manage frequent interruptions, time pressures, high work volumes, multiple and complicated tasks, and unscheduled tasks and frequent time constraints
Must have manual dexterity of hands and body to operate office equipment and work sitting on a computer for extended periods of time
Must be able to bend and lift/carry up to 25 pounds with or without assistance
