The Account Specialist is tasked with managing budgets, optimizing assets, meeting financial goals, and keeping our finances in check. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day and long-term finances, as well as with making sure everything is up-to-date and on track.

What makes a great Account Specialist?

  • 21 years of age

  • The ability to interact with managers in a professional manner to resolve issues

  • Proficiency in 10-key and advanced knowledge of Excel

  • Willing to work weekends and holidays

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational ability; ability to work under pressure amid distractions and interruptions, while adhering to weekly/monthly deadlines

  • Ability to work with little supervision

  • Have strong communication skills, both orally and in writing

What will you be doing on a daily basis?

  • Entering and processing all invoices according to established best practices.

  • Matching Weekly Cost of Sales report from Oracle to Crunchtime.

  • Perform detailed Operations reviews for fraud and exception reporting.

  • Excel report update and tracking.

  • Tracking and facilitating Security Guards payments.

  • Reviewing vendor statements for completeness against invoices received and close process.

  • Assisting with inventory process as needed.

  • Providing support with payroll and onboarding.

  • Accounts Receivable follow-up and invoicing.

  • Facilitating bank deposit as needed.

  • Maintaining certification tracking (alcohol service, ropes course, etc.).

Description: This position is responsible for the processing of high volume of invoices and ensuring timely and accurate entry and payment of invoices into the Company's finance system in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Offers support during audit and rate cases. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: * Performs the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Includes but not limited to batch preparation, vendor invoice data entry, 3-way matching, preparation of check runs and processing of check runs. * Ensure vendor invoices are verified for accuracy and properly coded. * Ensure written approvals and purchase orders for all invoices and payments are affixed to documents according to Company policy. * Maintain transactional compliance in accordance with financial policies and procedures. * Perform annual 1099 processing in a timely and accurate manner. * Responsible for the timely communication and the resolution facilitation of vendor/supplier inquiries. * Proactively communicated all AP issues and developments to Supervisor/Manager * Provide support and assistance during rate cases. * Assist with new acquisitions. * Maintain accounting files - scanned and hard copy documents. * Participate as a member of the Finance team to ensure transactions are recorded in the accounting system and/or budget system in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory accounting principles sound budget practices, prescribed internal controls and company policy. * Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Experience including some of the following: High volume data entry; excellent time management skills; Excellent communication skills; Good mathematical skills; Pro-active, multi-tasked, self-motivated team play and positive attitude; Accuracy and detail oriented. * Ability to work well under demanding time constraints with firm deadlines. * Demonstration of being a team player who thinks outside the box.
