Accounting Specialist III
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (Bank) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Specialist to support the Expense Accounting department The Accounting Specialist's primary responsibilities are focused on the accounting of discretionary expenditures by business areas throughout the Bank.
In this position, you will be the primary contact for the department to our business partners and will help answer questions and inquiries related to the Infor XM travel software. Important to have strong knowledge and experience with Lawson/Infor XM software to be successful in the role.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Review travel and non-travel expense reimbursement requests for accuracy and compliance with Bank discretionary expenditure policies
Review invoice and other payment requests for discretionary expenditure policy compliance, expense allocation and completeness of
Monitor and review General Ledger accounts to ensure compliance with Bank and Federal Reserve System policies.
Educate customers on discretionary expenditure policies and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
Prepare general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations as needed.
Assist on the tracking and reporting of imputed income related to travel.
Maintain current accounting documentation in accordance to Bank and Federal Reserve System policies and procedures.
Work with department management and peers to enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of business processes.
Assist with documentation requests and inquiries driven by internal audit, Board of Governors and SOX compliance reviews as needed.
Assist in year-end general ledger close process.
Provide input to department management regarding policies and practices and opportunities for improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
1-2 years of related experience.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work on assignments requiring judgment to resolve issues and to make recommendations for solutions.
