We are seeking a detailed-oriented Accounting Specialist to properly process and record transactions in accordance with company policies, which includes, preparing and recording journal entries, participating in period closing process, reviewing reconciling accounts, preparing reports, supporting schedules, working with other internal/ external sources to resolve discrepancies, and assisting in internal/ external audits and special projects as assigned.
This position will provide operational services to assigned business units to support their functions. Areas of support will include: Cash Receipts, Contracts-in-Transit, Inventory Shipments and Costing, Flooring Advance and Payoff, Revenues Sales Audits.
Partner with the Corporate Finance team and with other business units to properly process and record financial operational data in accordance with company policy
Participate in period closing process within established deadlines and materiality limits
Collaborate with Operations teams on end-to-end work flow processes to properly record transactions in a timely and efficient manner
Collaborate with internal and external sources (business units, vendors suppliers, banks) to obtain information as required
Complete assigned G/L account reconciliations with discrepancies and outstanding items resolved in timely and accurate manner
Assist in external and internal audits and special projects
Provide customer support services to stakeholders as required
Participate in special projects as assigned
Associates Degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting bookkeeping, data entry, general ledger and account reconciliation
Industry experience in retail, manufacturing, inventory management, and automotive highly desirable
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Oracle Financial Cloud and Dealer Track experiences highly desirable.
