Under the general direction of the designated manager, the Account Specialist performs a variety of specialized accounting duties in support of assigned accounts, funds and budgets; reviews, analyzes, maintains and adjusts assigned funds and accounts; prepares, audits, reconciles and maintains a variety of financial and statistical records, reports, and statements in support of assigned accounts and activities.

Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: Associate's degree from an accredited college with coursework in accounting, budgeting, business administration or a related field AND Three (3) years of experience in public accounting, finance, or fiscal record-keeping; OR Any combination of education equivalent to a high school diploma and at least five (5) years of experience in general bookkeeping, accounting, and budgeting in school district or county office of education with college level coursework in accounting or related field desirable Licenses and Certifications: Possession of an appropriate, valid California Driver's License, and evidence of insurability
