Position: Accounting Specialist
Position Location:Hybrid- Madison, WI
Hours: 8:30am- 5:00 pm CST
Essential Job Functions:
TRID Fee Reconciliation:
Data Extraction: Pull and format TRID fee-related reports from multiple loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass, LoanVision).
Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth reviews of funded loans to compare collected, disclosed, and paid TRID fees.
Identify Discrepancies: Accurately identify and document discrepancies between collected, disclosed, and paid fees.
Research and Resolution: Investigate and resolve identified discrepancies, including coordination with relevant departments (e.g., Closing, Funding, Accounting).
Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and organized records of all reconciliation activities and findings.
Required Experience:
1+ years of experience in mortgage banking, finance, or a related field.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong research and investigative skills with the ability to gather and analyze information to resolve complex issues.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Basic understanding of mortgage lending principles and regulations, including TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data manipulation, formulas, and pivot tables).
Familiarity with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass, LoanVision) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
