WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: As an Accounting Specialist, you will process vendor invoices and checks for payment, process payroll, handle all accounts payable, receive all vendor invoices approved for payment, assign general ledger account numbers and enter in accounts payable for payment processing, ensure proper approvals, obtain tax forms from vendors and assist in year end 1099 reporting, complete weekly payroll review, handle all employee maintenance, reconcile payroll and assigned general ledger accounts, handle weekly operational performance reporting, handle monthly expense reporting, assist with projects as needed. Process properly approved ACH and web payments Complete weekly check runs Assist in any payroll management reporting when needed Maintain equipment spreadsheets and rent calculationsOTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2+ years of accounting experience Technical diploma, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting Basic MSWD and Excel skills Transportation software experience is a plus Experience / knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and / or Optimum HRIS is a plus Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well independentlyAPPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Provides research and analysis to product leaders who then make recommendations to improve product features, pricing, marketing, sales, service, processes and procedures. Provides support on various pricing tasks as needed. This may include analyzing the adequacy of the insurance rates we charge for assigned states and products, including loss experience, premium, conversion, retention, and market assessment. This may also include filing support and negotiation to obtain approval for rate and form changes. Under the direction of product leadership collaborates and works with underwriting on guidelines, compliance and sales/service to help execute strategies for assigned states (region) and claims on product enhancements and settlement practices. Responsibilities * Secure and organize data for analysis including, when necessary, the analysis of rates by state and product analysis in preparation of rate changes. Support the development and maintenance of assigned states or region by assessing product performance. Monitor, analyze and report results of auto and home products across various states or region and provide that analysis to higher level roles to determine recommendations. * Develop reporting and analysis to assist product managers in formulating their recommendations. Help deliver best practice rate change process, which may include detailed pricing, rate, and histogram impact analysis. * Assist in research of market trends and competitor pricing actions including market basket and market assessments.
