Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Specialist to join our team, overseeing responsibilities related to both Accounts Payable and Receivable. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining precise financial records, managing vendor and customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient processing of payments and receipts.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

  • Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Process and record accounts payable transactions promptly, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies, and foster positive relationships with vendors.
  • Monitor and manage payment terms, discounts, and credit terms to optimize cash flow.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Record and reconcile customer payments, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions.
  • Follow up on overdue payments, collaborating with the sales team to resolve billing or payment issues.
  • Manage customer credit limits and terms to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

General Financial Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
