Accounting Specialist

AssuredPartners of Northeast is excited to add an Accounts Payable Associate to our Accounting team in Reading, MA!

The Accounting Specialist will work closely with the Controller, the rest of the Accounting team and our insurance servicing team to assist with reconciliations, payments, and data entry. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and learn the insurance industry.

What You'll Do

• Keep all company payables current, in balance and paid. Will research and work with the insurance servicing team to resolve billing issues.

• Enter, pay and track vendor payables to ensure they are paid on a timely basis.

• Assist the Controller with projects

• Assist with month end financial reporting

• Return direct bill commission as needed to carriers

• Administration duties such a scanning, filing and maintaining a document management system

• Assist with budget preparation

• Analyze and explain expense variances to prior year/budget on a monthly basis

What You'll Need

• Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2-3 years of Accounting experience, insurance experience a plus

• Tech savvy; MUST have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite

• Multitasking/organizational/time-management skills

• Strong math skills
