To be successful you must be familiar with Public Sector Accounting terminology, GASB requirements for modified and full accrual accounting and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report Production.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Have 3+ years of public accounting experience primarily working for state and local government

  • Ability & experience to apply accounting principles to analyze financial information for accounting on public sector engagements

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior public sector accounting team members

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Travel up to 50-75% required

Preferred:

  • CPA License

  • Consulting Experience

This position is responsible for providing strategic marketing support for Deloitte's Government & Public Services Defense Security & Justice (DS&J) Sector. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization. Work You'll Do: The DS&J Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the DS&J practice leaders in planning and executing marketing campaigns. The DS&J Marketing Manager will report to the Government and Public Services (GPS) Industry Marketing Leader and will work closely with the DS&J leadership team to differentiate the Deloitte brand, drive Deloitte's business priorities forward, deliver innovative content marketing strategies, and measure impact across the US Federal Government market. Specific areas of focus include: * Marketing & Communications Fundamentals: Experienced understanding of marketing and communications practices and technology to drive business goals * Project Management and Campaign Activation: Lead in the development, maintenance, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns spanning events, digital channels, social media, email marketing, and video/written content * Business Advisor: Serve as strategic marketing advisor to key stakeholders within DS&J - assist with articulation of value propositions, develop marketing objectives in support of key priorities * Writing: Comfort with drafting different types of content spanning POVs, client success stories, video scripts/story boards * Thoughtware Execution and Commercialization: Design facilitation, editing, internal and external announcements, web postings, etc. * Content Development: Develop and edit content and collateral material and refreshing website content for consistent messaging and clear voice * Social Media: Creation and implementation of full social media plans for campaigns * Digital Marketing: Experience in digital marketing concepts spanning SEO, website development and design concepts * Impact Reporting: Gathers ROI data and inputs data into standard reports, focusing on data accuracy, storytelling, outcomes, etc. * Budget Management: Plan and manage marketing budgets for campaigns Qualifications: * Experience developing strategies for reaching a diverse audience of leadership personas in the US Federal Government's DS&J sector (i.e., CFO, CIO, CHRO, CISO, etc.) * Experience in a professional services marketing organization marketing to the government and public sector * Experience marketing technical and professional services and issues spanning systems engineering, cloud, ERP/ERM, digital transformation and cyber risk services * Experience working within the government ecosystem and familiarity with relevant government media organizations and strategic partners preferred * Experience with experiential design, event management and production * Experience with content marketing techniques, including audience segmentation, search engine optimization (SEO), and persona-based campaigns * Experience with marketing technology and innovation to drive and enhance campaign deliverables * Strong executive presence, professional client service manner, and demonstrated ability to take initiative, confident * Creative mindset with passion and drive to foster innovation in marketing and communications.
