The Accounting Rotation Program is a two-year, entry-level program that begins in June of 2019. This program develops high potential talent with a well-rounded experience through the Accounting Department at Amica. The commitment will provide rotations in three different segments of Accounting for eight-month durations. Through your rotations, you will receive mentors amongst our leadership team and within each section to provide you with support during your transition. The Associate Accountant will be exposed to a challenging, hands on workload that will require cross- departmental collaboration and teamwork.

Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Three, eight-month rotations within Financial Reporting, Corporate Tax and Treasury.

  • Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements, quarterly/annual reports and assist in the preparation of management reports.

  • Accurately and timely preparation and filing of tax related documents, returns and payments as indicated on the tax calendar.

  • Maintain and reconcile bank account activity to the general ledger and prepares analysis schedules.

  • At the end of each rotation period, participants will complete a program evaluation form with their section manager and supervisor.

  • At the conclusion of the program, management will determine the employee's final placement within the rotating sections based on participant feedback and departmental need.

  • May be called to handle other duties as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 0-2 years of accounting/financial reporting experience or internship experience, preferred.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications.

  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

The Program Lead will manage relationships with third party providers to ensure proper screening procedures, will manage and resolve escalations, will proactively identify areas of opportunity and implement program improvements, and will manage internal reporting and compliance audits. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition Operations. Responsibilities will include: * Designing training documentation in support of process or system changes and deliver to all stakeholders * Planning and conducting end to end thorough data analysis including interpretation of trends, gaps, data gathering and validation, and presentation of findings * Providing consultation to stakeholders to reinforce compliant practices * Building partnerships: This position will work closely with other HR Shared Services teams, applicable vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver the required services, controls and delivery experience * Managing applicable processes to ensure full functional Compliance and Audit activities * Identify areas of opportunity through organizational assessments, suggest and at times implement appropriate changes in programs or processes * Creating and generating standard ad-hoc reports for a variety of HR related data and management analysis * Partnering with Management and Legal/Compliance teams to ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and company mandates/policies Required Qualifications * 3+ years of experience in the field of Human Resources or Loss Prevention * Experience managing third background screening and I-9 vendors by providing escalation support and guidance with processing of background investigations and drug tests * Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret, research, and communicate complex issues * Commitment to and demonstrated skill in providing excellent customer service * Proficient MS Office skills with advanced Excel skills * Ability to work independently and as a part of a team * Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with shifting priorities * Flexibility and professional demeanor * Strong attention to detail and follow through * Astute understanding of data analytics to maintain and evolve our data integrity / audit / compliance reports to validate end user utilization and audit requirements Preferred Qualifications * Experience with high volume background and/or drug screening vendor, as well as Kenexa BrassRing a plus * Experience with high volume I-9 vendor, as well as Guardian a plus * Experience with Cognos reporting a plus * Capabilities and experience in Change Management a plus Education Bachelor's degree required Will substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
