The Plant Accounting & Financial Analyst is a member of the FIBI NA finance team. This position is part of an enterprise-wide team that is accountable for balancing fiduciary responsibility and business partnering while actively promoting the creation of value within a strong framework of controls in the FIBI NA BOSC Accounting and Finance group. This experienced role focuses on plant operations accounting processes and controls for 1-2 plant sites and will be located at a central hub location. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of plant manufacturing processes in order to execute on activities including accounting processes and procedures, compliance and financial risk management; customer/client interaction and business partnership; continuous improvement, and analysis and reporting. This role will also be involved in monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) forecasting and the annual budget process for the applicable plant(s) responsible for.
50% Execute accounting processes including month end close entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, chemical reporting, and management reporting. Participate in cost discussions with plant operations teams. Involvement in preparation of the annual budget for the plant including headcount, plant costs, production, allocations, etc. Collaborate with peers to identify areas of improvement. Monitors and/or performs internal controls in assigned areas.
25% Partner with local plant operations personnel and management and financial reporting accountants to provide accurate data, detailed analysis, and to help drive cost saving opportunities within the plant. Collaborates with more senior members of team to review results.
25% Perform other projects, tasks and responsibilities as requested and assigned (Continuous Improvement initiatives, commitment preparation, Cargill Business Services (CBS) Finance migration, Integrated Business Planning forecasts, etc.).

Minimum Required Qualifications
OR Accounting or 2-year of equivalent studies
OR on lieu of degree 4 years relevant work experience
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (particularly Excel and Access)
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail
Ability to efficiently prioritize workload
Ability to learn and work in multiple software systems with proficiency in extracting data
Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
4-yr degree in general business or accounting
General knowledge of GAAP policies
Knowledge of multiple software systems (ASAP, JDE, CAMs, SAP, Microsoft Excel and Access)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
