RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a liaison for customers, affiliates and correspondent banks to research and process account adjustments

  • Respond to customer and legal requests for documentation

  • Correct account errors and customer issues, coordinating and communicating with branch associates as needed

  • Cross train functions in other Accounting areas, including Accounts Payable and Cash Reconciliation

  • Process domestic collections

  • Support teller cash reconciliation

  • Assist with account verifications

  • Individually participates in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling and mitigating departmental and enterprise-wide risks

  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank's compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks

  • Other duties as assigned

An associate advances to a level 5 generally after 12-18 months. In addition to the above, a level 5 associate would assume the additional responsibilities:

  • Update and develop procedures for the research team

  • Train associates on department procedures and processes

  • Provide guidance to level 4 associates for complex issue resolution

  • Process domestic collections

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • General knowledge of banking and accounting preferred

  • Basic PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel required

  • Communicate professionally with both internal and external customers

  • Work well in a team setting as well as independently

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to use multiple systems for problem resolution

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

  • Deliver consistent, high level of service within our Service Excellence guidelines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Associates' degree in accounting recommended or equivalent banking or accounting experience

  • Thorough understanding of Park National Corporation and PNB policies, procedures and specific operational procedures and reconciliation processes preferred

SCHEDULE

Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm once per month with four hours off during the week. This position is hourly and full-time.

A minimum 37.5 hours is required to maintain eligibility for full-time status. Generally the position will require 40 hours per week. The average number of Saturdays per month is 1. An additional Saturday may be required occasionally and occasional overtime may be required.
