Overview

The Accounting Operational Support Specialist is responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance functionality within several accounting processes, applications and associated systems. This position is also responsible for developing ideas to support both internal and external customers and suppliers as well as overseeing small to medium scale projects. Additionally, this position will be responsible for performing comprehensive audits for mega accounts, analyzing data and providing recommendations based on analysis results.

This position is located at 14002 E 21st St. Tulsa, OK.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the business on enhanced tools and technologies for systems that are utilized within the department

  • Build relationships and work with contacts to identify opportunities to improve business and/or challenges with current processes while leveraging their input resolution and validation on project direction; Collect and analyze complex data with contacts to understand business requirements for system enhancements as well as identify potential issues for proposed changes and adjust project strategy accordingly

  • Develop innovative approaches and ideas to support enhancing services offered or delivered to internal and external customers

  • Oversee small to medium size projects and assist with large scale projects including, but not limited to, audits on mega accounts, performing strategic analysis of data and development of year over year comparisons

  • Document and present audit/reconciliation results and/or analytical data to management as well as recommendations for resolution

  • Develop analytical reporting to support strategic accounts while also providing high level information to management

  • Take ownership of escalated accounts and setup issues, providing detailed analysis and explanation including suggestions for resolution and improvement of process where applicable; Provide guidance to the team for lower level issues and solutions

  • Deliver ongoing training and support to department for systems and applications and evaluate existing processes and applications to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology required

  • Must have 3 years car rental or accounting experience.

  • Project management experience preferred

  • Financial system experience preferred

  • Advanced working knowledge in Excel

  • Apart from religious observations, must be able to work Monday-Friday 40 hours/ work week

  • Must be willing to accept starting pay of $52,000/year commensurate on experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
