Robert Half Finance is searching for a skilled, eager, and experienced candidate like you to join the expanding team of a progressive company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. An integral part of this position is establishing and scaling company accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager role is a full-time employment opportunity, based in the Ontario, California area. Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met

  • Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

  • Collaborate with FP A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  • Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Requirements

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • General familiarity with financial planning

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling

  • Background working with bank reconciliations

  • Expertise in job costing

  • Comprehensive knowledge of basis costing

  • Adeptness in financial analysis

  • Account reconciliation experience highly preferred

  • Costing experience

  • Proficiency in processing costing

  • Standard costs experience

  • Practical knowledge of financial reconciliation

  • Customer service oriented communication skills

  • Solid technology and analytical abilities

  • Recent relevant financial experience

Promote efficiency and proper billing practices. * Ensure timely billing and follow-up on all assigned accounts. Meet/exceed collection goal and DSO targets implemented by executive management. Weekly tracking of cash collection progress. * Work closely with branch office personnel and senior management to optimize collection of revenue. * Monthly review of aging reports for all assigned team members. Provide guidance to staff on priority accounts. Monitor collection efforts and assist with training as necessary. * Monitor daily EOB's/remittance advices for denial trends. Ensure denials are processed within the timeline designated by management. * Cultivate and maintain a working rapport with insurance companies to maximize reimbursement efforts and resolve issues. Work with Director of Reimbursement on resolving billing and collection issues. * Review/approve refund and account adjustments. * Implementation and oversight of department policies and procedures. Requirements of Qualified Candidates: * High School graduate or equivalent. * Experience based knowledge in the management of accounts receivable processes in health care, preferably in the home health setting. * Candidate should possess 2 years leadership experience and must have extensive knowledge of HMO, Managed Care, PPO, Private Insurance and Worker's Compensation billing. * Working knowledge of billing activities and computer systems. * Knowledge of Federal, State, and accreditation regulations governing home care. * Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers. * Ability to establish and maintain a courteous and service-oriented working relationship with patients, families, customers, and co-workers. * Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office, including Outlook. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal/listening skills. * Utilize effective problem solving and task analysis skills. * Exercise excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and sustain ability to work in a multi-task environment with minimal supervision. * Ability to view requirements of the position within the context of the entire company. * Ability to work in a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment. * Willingness to take on new projects or a history of taking on new projects. * Ability to fluently speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
