Accounting Manager/Controller

The Accounting Manager is a key member of this thirty-five-year-old, market-leading Company. The Accounting Manager is core leadership, approachable, fully engaged, and more than willing to help other departments with their accounting and finance questions. This team player is responsible for the Company’s general ledger system, reporting, and financial policies. 

NO RECRUITERS OR HEADHUNTERS

Specific responsibilities include:

• Supervise four staff accountants,
• Take ownership of the Company’s ERP System,
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by following sound accounting practices,
• Manage the day-to-day activities of cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, collections, payroll, perpetual inventory, and fixed asset transactions, 
• Manage the commercial banking relationships,
• When needed, interface with the outside auditing firm, lessors, insurance agents, and credit card companies, and
• Other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA certification preferred but not required,

• Minimum of five years of hands-on accounting experience, manufacturing experience preferred,
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience,
• Well versed in an ERP System, preferably Sage MAS 100.

Supervisory Responsibility- Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance department

Work Environment- This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel- Little to none

Additional Eligibility Qualifications- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
