What You'll Do

The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing advanced accounting duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. This position prepares and reviews financial reports, assists management with preparation of annual budget, performs financial analysis, and ensures the accurate recording and reporting of the manufacturing plants' financial transactions. The Accounting Supervisor will report directly to the Corporate Controller, with dotted line reporting to the Plant Manager.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze manufacturing costs and provide data and feedback to operations to deploy cost improvement initiatives

• Assist in creation and maintenance of costing models within Product Routings and Shops Orders/BOM's

• Compile standard costs for all products produced or sold by Product Group

• Review sales information and work with the commercial team to optimize income

• Assist Production Team with cycle count (finished goods and raw materials) program compilation and results summarizations

• Assist in analysis of cost trends and purchasing support for raw materials.

• Prepare ROI analyses on Capital projects and track capital and other improvement projects to confirm/assess resulting ROI

• Actively participate in ERP implementation and optimization

• Process accounts payable to include running checks, upload files to secure bank portal, run mock checks and month-end close

• Prepare monthly financial statements and other management reports

• Prepare annual business plans

• Prepare annual tax form filings (e.g. 1099's)

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations

• Prepare annual real estate returns and property returns

• Prepare annual audit binders

• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and recommendations to plant and corporate management

• Create and publish ad hoc reporting as needed

• Ensure adequate level of internal controls over financial reporting

What You'll Need

To be successful in this position, you must:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered

• Have previous experience working with business financials in an accounting role; previous experience as an Accounting or Finance Manager highly desired

• Possess advanced computer competency required in Microsoft Office and the ability to work within company software programs

• Have experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of how ERP/manufacturing systems relate to financial reporting and performance. Experience working in IFS ERP Software is highly desired or exhibit the desire and ability to learn.

• Have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet time sensitive deadlines, and organize workload with limited supervision

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication, portraying a high degree of professionalism with a high level attention to detail with demonstrated critical thinking skills/troubleshooting

• Have a positive, proactive demeanor resulting in superior teamwork and collaboration with team members while demonstrating a commitment to excellence
