Whether it's supplying a unique product that customizes the look and feel of their ride, providing thousands of educational videos for the DIYer or leveraging user generated content to inspire even the most experienced owner, we are obsessed with ensuring we reach as many like-minded gearheads across the globe.

Reporting directly to the Accounting Director, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting the accounting close process; monthly financial reporting; internal control improvements; data analysis & automation; partnering with operational teams; audit process, and other key initiatives and projects for the Company.

Year 1 is going to be about:

  • Leverage automation to accelerate existing processes and improve related analyses.

  • Prepare and/or detail review complex journal entries or account reconciliations with limited supervision and ensure the accuracy of information through well-documented workpapers. Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve any issues or reconciling items.

  • Identify and clearly explain the drivers behind balance sheet and P&L fluctuations against the forecast, prior periods, and own expectation.

  • Present monthly reporting to management, being the subject matter expert on the area. Communicate accurate, relevant, actionable information to the business and follow through on takeaways.

  • Prepare monthly Company financial statements and supplemental financial reporting and analysis around key operational areas.

  • Support the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Assist in the completion of annual financial statement audit of the Company's consolidated results/position

  • Initially oversee 4 team members.

We can't skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a "must" to be successful. So, we need you to have:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required) and finance (preferred)

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience preferred, including 2+ years at Big 4 and 2+ years in private industry finance or corporate accounting.

  • CPA required.

  • E-commerce industry experience preferred.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Strong finance and business-oriented mindset

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to be a subject matter expert across multiple areas.

  • High degree of personal integrity and professional skepticism.

  • Open to change and committed to continuous process improvement.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, particularly Excel.

  • Proficiency with Tableau is preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or other ERP preferred.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive demeanor and a customer-centric focus.
