The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accounting operations of the Company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. The role oversees Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Tax functions.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include:

Accounting Operations

  • Responsible for all global accounting functions

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Reconcile all key balance sheet accounts

  • GAAP Financial Statement preparation

  • Improving and maintaining strong internal controls

  • Ensure compliance to all sales, excise, personal property, and VAT tax regulations

  • HFM / CMR / PLN weekly loads

  • HFM / CMR / PLN month-end loads

  • Serve as primary interface with any financial auditors (internal and external) with responsibility for timely completion of any scheduled audits.

  • Summarize and present results to Finance Director

Cross-Functional Support & Engagement

  • Partner with appropriate departments to ensure Operations practices are aligned with Accounting.

  • Actively participate in PPI projects

  • Ad Hoc projects, reporting or analysis as requested

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Superior strategy and financial skills in addition to highly developed analytical skills and capabilities

  • Solid understanding of advanced business framework and complex business decision making techniques

  • Experience in market analysis and field data collection

  • Negotiation and transaction experience preferred

  • Cognos Report Studio or similar

  • Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • 3 years of experience managing finance/accounting functions

  • Bachlor's Degree, MBA or other advance business degree preferred

  • CPA

  • Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively with senior management

Key Responsibilities: * Lead the execution of monthly and quarterly accounting close processes including financial statement preparation and cash flow analytics. * Manage a team of three, set strategic objectives, develop staff, provide day-to-day support for staff, and drive a world class organization and results. * Provide accounting guidance on technical topics ensuring adherence to US GAAP accounting. * Partner with IT to manage the change request process; facilitate resolutions on issues related to close and reporting issues and monitor adherence to remediation plans as necessary. * Serve as the internal controls sub-process owner for select record to report processes and perform self assessments to support the ICFR processes. * Review and/or prepare various consolidated schedules for external auditor quarterly reviews and annual audits. * Provide information to support the Company's quarterly and annual SEC filings, including the preparation of certain financial statement footnotes * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce effort and drive effectiveness and efficiency, including identifying, developing and implementing. * Other ad hoc requests including business unit support. SCOPE FACTORS: People Management & Span of Control: Manage a team of three employees Revenue Responsibility: Own overall close process for the Company ($6.1B of Revenue) Years and Type of Experience: * Minimum of six years of total relevant professional accounting experience. Prefer solid mix of public accounting and private industry experience. * Supervision and staff development experience. Skills and Abilities: * Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the application of US GAAP. * Strong understanding of financial statement preparation, including management reporting and cash flow preparation. * Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. * Results oriented ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment. * Excellent written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. * Strong attention to detail. * Exceptional organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and self-manage workload. * Ability to proactively take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution. * Ability to work effectively on cross functional activities and form solid business relationships across functions. * Lead and develop the Accounting team to understand the business and drive process improvements and efficiency. * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
